2024 LGCSE Results Set for Release on January 17
The Examinations Council of Lesotho (ECOL) has announced that the 2024 Lesotho General Certificate of Secondary Education (LGCSE) results will be released on Thursday, January 17.
ECOL Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mokhitli Khoabane, confirmed that the results have been finalized and are ready for publication by the Minister of Education and Training, Professor Ntoi Rapapa. Dr. Khoabane assured the public that all necessary standards and procedures have been meticulously followed during the entire process, from registration and administration to marking and grading.
Speaking on the integrity of the results, Dr. Khoabane highlighted that ECOL’s internal Quality Assurance unit, operating under ISO Certification, has ensured that the processes meet international standards. Furthermore, the examination processes were observed by the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Examinations Quality Assurance team and other international examination bodies.
“The Council is confident that the 2024 results are valid, reliable, and accurately reflect the true performance of the students,” stated Dr. Khoabane.
The LGCSE results mark a significant milestone for secondary school students across Lesotho, determining their readiness for tertiary education and future career paths. As the nation eagerly awaits the release, the Ministry of Education and Training is set to officially publish the results, offering students, parents, and educators insight into the academic achievements of 2024.
