Summer Cropping Inputs in High Demand as Sales Commence Across the Country
The sale of farming inputs for summer cropping has begun nationwide, but high demand is causing disruptions in availability. This was revealed by Mr. Lereko Masupha from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Nutrition in an interview with the Agency.
Masupha noted that farmers are purchasing inputs in large quantities, leading to stock running out quickly at agricultural stores and resource centres. The demand reflects the urgency with which farmers are preparing for the summer cropping season.
Despite these challenges, Masupha assured the public that farming inputs are still available. He confirmed that large quantities of inputs are continuously entering the country to meet the needs of farmers, ensuring that supply will keep up with the growing demand.
This development is crucial for ensuring a successful cropping season, with the Ministry working to avoid any significant shortages.
