After narrowly missing out on the Vodacom Premier League title to Lioli FC on the final day of the season, Matlama FC is taking steps to secure their future success. Club President Mr. Moeketsi Khojane has confirmed that negotiations are currently underway with Mr. Halemakale Mahlaha and his technical team.
Speaking from Durban, where he attended Likuena’s match against Rwanda’s Wasps at Moses Mabhida Stadium, Mr. Khojane revealed that discussions with Mr. Mahlaha and his entire team have already begun.
“We are ready and willing to retain the entire technical team headed by Mr. Mahlaha after their impressive performance last season, despite narrowly missing the league title in the last match,” commented Mr. Khojane.
He expressed a personal desire to see Mr. Mahlaha and his technical team offered a two-year contract. This duration, he believes, would provide them with sufficient time to implement their plans and build a formidable team capable of challenging for the league title in the upcoming season.
