Sello Ramokanate

Sello Joshua Ramokanate has just three years of experience in nursing, yet he has already had a significant impact. Currently, Sello is nursing team leader at the High Care Unit at Berea Hospital in Lesotho. He focuses on nursing care for critically ill patients, including COVID-19 patients. Additionally, Sello is actively engaged in teaching the public through radio and advocating for mental health integration in other programs, and he participates in volunteer occupational health outreach. Sello holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Midwifery and is currently completing a Master of Science in Psychiatric Nursing. Sello is committed to breaking the stigma of mental health issues, ensuring social inclusion of mentally ill people, and promoting mental health across different life stages. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Sello plans to expand his work, involve more institutions, and partner with organizations to improve his impact.
