Neo Aletta Sekhesa
Neo Aletta Sekhesa has a national diploma in Biotechnology and a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, both obtained at the Tshwane University of Technology. While still trying to find the profession that spoke to her, Miss Sekhesa volunteered and worked in research laboratories such a National Zoological Gardens of South Genetics Laboratory as well as Tshwane University of Technology Cancer Research Laboratory, in addition to further widening her experience by working in food testing facilities and food production plants. Currently, Miss Sekhesa is the founder and chief executive officer of House of Linford, a distillation company in Lesotho and is a food quality and safety officer at Aqua Nalane, an aquaponics and aquaculture plant in Maseru. Because she was born during autism awareness month, she is passionate about opening a therapeutic center for autistic children and adults. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Miss Sekhesa is committed to continue partaking in a society which advocates for systematic growth and development in Lesotho and to empower individuals and communities to build a sustainable private sector that will contribute towards the growth of Lesotho’s gross domestic product.
