World Vision Lesotho is conducting a four-day Empowered World View (EWV) training program at Thaba Bosiu Cultural Village, aimed at fostering community empowerment and driving social change. The program brings together 27 community leaders from Koeneng, including faith leaders, area chiefs, and local councillors, who are pivotal in shaping their communities.
The EWV training, a behavior change model developed by World Vision, is designed to help participants overcome dependency mindsets and adopt a philosophy of self-reliance and empowerment. According to World Vision, the program is rooted in Biblical principles and encourages a transformative exploration of critical themes such as personal identity, self-esteem, hope, and vision for the future.
Through this initiative, participants are expected to gain practical tools and insights to lead by example and inspire their communities to embrace sustainable development and self-empowerment.
The presence of influential leaders in the program underscores its potential to create a ripple effect of positive change throughout Koeneng. By equipping these leaders with skills and a renewed perspective, World Vision is laying the foundation for resilient and self-sustaining communities.
