Minister of Public Service Supports Students Through Back-to-School Campaign

The Minister of Public Service and Member of Parliament for Maputsoe constituency, Mr. Mputi Mputi, on Thursday donated essential school supplies to three schools in Leribe as part of the Back-to-School campaign.

The beneficiaries included St. Luke Primary School, Maputsoe ACL Primary School, and St. Boniface High School, where students received school shoes, stationery, toilet paper, and sanitary pads to help them start the academic year with dignity and confidence. The event, held in Maputsoe, was supported by the Mputi Foundation.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Mputi expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Training for spearheading the initiative, which he said plays a vital role in ensuring that every child has the resources needed to succeed in school. He emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in education development, urging both individuals and businesses to support needy children so that financial hardships do not hinder their education.

The Minister further highlighted the importance of giving back to the community, stating that everyone is created to bring positive change in the lives of others. He also noted the growth of the initiative, recalling that last year’s event was held at DIFA Stadium in Maputsoe, and this year, it has expanded to attract more businesspeople and individuals willing to contribute.

The Back-to-School campaign continues to gain momentum, offering much-needed support to disadvantaged students and reinforcing the importance of education in shaping the future of young learners.
