Birdwatching Enthusiasts Ready for the 2025 Lesotho Atlas Bash

Birdwatching enthusiasts are preparing for the 2025 Lesotho Atlas Bash, a highly anticipated event that blends the thrill of birding with crucial conservation efforts. Scheduled from 7th to 10th February, the event will span the scenic landscapes from Katse Dam to Mokhotlong.

Organized by BirdLife South Africa in collaboration with the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA), the Lesotho Atlas Bash offers participants a unique opportunity to explore the country’s stunning natural beauty while contributing to meaningful conservation work.

At the heart of this event is Bird Atlasing, a citizen science project aimed at mapping the distribution of bird species across Southern Africa, including Lesotho, South Africa, and Botswana.
